HOW TO WEAR PROGRESSIVE LENSES

The lenses have three main viewing areas:

1) The distance (defined as anything beyond twenty feet) is at eye level.
2) The near (defined as sixteen to eighteen inches away) is concentrated on the bottom part of the lens.
3) The intermediate (arm's length away) is in between the distance and the near.

You'll have great vision at all distances depending on the part/section of the lens you're looking through!

There are occasions which fall out of the range. For instance, picture yourself walking down the stairs looking down through the bottom portion of your progressive lens. You would have to move your chin down and look at the stairs through the middle portion of your lens (since the bottom is intended for a focal length of 16-18 inches). Another example would be to look at something that is very close at eye level. You would have to move your chin up to bring the object into focus.
